c. alexander leigh So the question for the day is, what are these things? The rubber accordion connects the MAF (bottom) with the intake (top) but then there are these two other asymmetric foam things. They appear like just chunks of foam and nothing is connected underneath.
andy buck those are the two parts on your car that will never break. reliability! practicality!
c. alexander leigh Hopefully Aaron will weigh in with an exciting theory about the purpose of the frobulators.
aaron The foam widgulators on your intake manifold are probably for correct tuning of the intake scavenge pulse. They could also be some sort of clever joke played on unsuspecting customers.
j.p. mcglinn andy you are wrong, the foam rubber will break down and either get sucked into the engine or just cause a huge vacuum leak and the engine will run terribly.
