| jonathan rahmani | nope the G5's have 3 screws at the bottom of the case - turn and then remove the back - much more elegant/easy/you can do this and claim to be sane. |
| joshua m. haroldson | this is the second time in a year that my hard drive has gone bad on me and it really annoys me that i have to take the screen off to change it. i'm just not that brave. |

| steve block | i am probably going to buy applecare just for this reason. although i had no real issues opening my mini there was no lcd to worry about. |
| joshua m. haroldson | i've heard the newer imacs are a little easier, but the 1st gen intels require you to actually remove tape from/un-glue the screen. no thank you. i wish apple would fall out of love with their whole insanely difficult to self-service designs. |
