things i notice on the iphone 4s camera include that distortion appears to be very low, it is quite quick, using the volume button as a shutter button makes taking landscape oriented pictures much easier, and while it still doesn't have the smoothness at full size of a "real" camera it has pretty excellent dynamic range, color reproduction, and exposure control.
not bad for a phone.
